New Year, New Name {Wedding Photographer-Eureka, CA}

I was contacted last summer by Richelle and Tim who had come across my business card and wanted to chat with me about photographing their New Year's Eve wedding. What made this inquiry so special was the fact that this particular bride and I had musical connections from back in the day! We both used to sing in the same choir in high school donning the same green cummerbunds and bow ties (as much as it pains me to admit that) and I totally remembered her for her beautiful voice with a country flair. So I was thrilled to have the opportunity to work with her so many years later.
These two said their I do's in front of a packed house at the very charming Ferndale Community Church, sprinkled with candle light and touches of royal blue, silver and black. The weather was smiling upon us when it broke just long enough for us to be able to take some fun and romantic portraits together following the ceremony before heading off to Loleta for the reception. The guests enjoyed heart-felt toasts, great dance music, an adorable dessert bar lovingly prepared by the families, and a memorable midnight send off complete with a tunnel of sparklers for the couple.
Thanks, Mr. and Mrs. Souza! We can't think of a better way to end one year and start another!

(: HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYONE! :)
